Guided by a recommendation from our friends Yasmine and Rick, we had opportunity to try the culinary experience offered by Le Chateaubriand.
A definite must eat while in Paris. Make a reservation two weeks in advance (information is on their nicely designed website) and get ready to be enchanted. The seven course prie fix menu changes daily and you'll be asked if you want to know what is being served ahead of time. We opted to be surprised. There's also a drink pairing menu available with each course. Experience for yourself the delight of each bite: modern twists on classic dishes all prepared in an impossibly tiny kitchen.
As a sample menu, this is what we ate:
Amuse bouche (This side up Cyril Zangs)
Amuse bouche (Kaze no mori "Natsu no Yozora")
Thon de l'Ille d'Yeu, Marmotako
Lotte, loveche, poivre vert
Ris de veau, salanova, beurre noisette
Avocat, osoille
Tocino del cielo
Unexpectedly, extra courses showed on our table. We welcomed all the lovely dishes which arrived on pink and dark gray ceramic plates from Jars Ceramistes.
You can find more pics of the restaurant, food, and Basque chef, Inaki Aizpitarte at The Selby.
